THE $40 MEXICAN
PESOS STORY

In 1949, Don Cayetano passed down the salsa recipe to his son, Don Roberto López. He decided to use the recipe and start with a capital of just $40 mexican pesos, buying 5 kilograms of cascabel chili, a corn grinder, and a manual capper. With these, he produced the first 40 bottles of sauce to begin selling them by bicycle, traversing the streets of Nayarit, thus founding the beginning of a successful Mexican company.
